About the project
I was asked to create the artwork for this release to evoke early-to-mid 90s electronic music, with a slight psychedelic feel. A lot of graphic work at the time was based on elements of pictures, often of something not particularly pretty, made it into a beautiful pattern or shape.
I challenged myself to create something beautiful out of something I dislike profoundly. I remembered a picture I took some years ago of a spider on its web, something a lot of people, including myself, are scared of, and used it as a source to create a mandala-shaped visual which would fit the brief.
